Act I
1. Ordinary world

4. Meeting the mentor
The fair maiden acts as a mentor teaching the narrator her powers and how to harness them. Her aim is to restore peace and has no desire to return to the real world unlike the narrator who accepts her guidance and agrees to help on her quest, nonetheless.
Act II

6. Tests, Allies, Enemies
As he lay dying, the abbot revealed to the instrumentalist that he had a claim to the kingdom while the singer was a princess to the neighboring realm. He implores them to seek the lair of a rebel group at a nearby cave.
7. Approach to the innermost cave
The group (the couple and the duet) were expected when they reached the cave. The rebels gave them the rundown on their plans which was to launch a siege and enter the castle. They were going to depose the king and replace him with the instrumentalist.
8. The ordeal
The group goes along with the plan and manages to get inside the castle. The king who was in a discussion with his advisors at the time was arrested and kept prisoner. The king was left speechless as he was led to the dungeons awaiting trial.
Act III
